The successful candidate will hold a driver's licence and have their own car. Ideally you will hold an ACA/ACCA qualification
You will have experience in the preparation of limited company accounts from Sage or other core records as well as auditing/on site work
You will be IT literate and have an understanding of how accounts are prepared/audited.
Ideally you will have experience in leading an audit team and be familiar with the Mercia Audit Manual
You will have knowledge of Sage Line 50 and experience of specialist audits, eg Solicitors Accounts Rules, Charities and Pension Schemes, etc.
The successful candidate will be committed to providing accurate, completed files to a high standard and have an understanding of working to a budget and deadlines
You will be flexible and a conscientious worker who is aware of the importance of getting things right
You should be able to take control of situations that arise, be able to work as part of a team, have good communication skills and be willing to learn

•Undertake planning of audit assignments, audit work (on site and in office), q completion of audit files
•Preparation of financial statements from client records
•Provide support to other members of the Audit Team
•Be responsible for the effective and efficient completion of audit and accountancy assignments
•To lead an Audit Team (at client premises) in undertaking and completing an audit assignment.
•Maintain an efficient control of assignments and plan effective management of their workload.
•Assist with Due Diligence assignments.
