    Our client is currently recruiting for a Part Time Magazine Editor based in West Bridgford.

    The Association requires a temporary member of staff to undertake all aspects of putting together the magazine, ie managing correspondence, writing and typing up copy, photo editing, and page layout.

    In addition, they will manage the flow of information and prepare output for the magazine, email announcements to the membership and website.

    There will also be a requirement to prepare copy for a new website which is currently being developed.

    Role type: Temporary - Ongoing
    Hours: Part Time, 15hours
    This can be spread at the temporary staff member's convenience, ie 3 x 5 hour days; 2 x 7.5days.

    Commence: w/c 15September.

    The post-holder will be expected to operate with the minimum level of supervision and guidance -experience is therefore essential.

    Essential Skills/Experience
    • Proficient in MS Office
    • Competent in image editing
    • Excellent oral and written skills
    • A good balance of creative and analytical skills
    • Ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
    • Ability to work in a team

    Desirable
    • Experience in a PR/journalist role/writing role
    • Event management experience
    • Experience of working in a membership / not for profit organisation
    • Competent in Dreamweaver
    • Competent in Quark
