Overall Purpose
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the purpose of this role is to manage the purchase ledger, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and supplier payment within terms.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Thorough understanding of Summit purchase ledger and associated Summit modules such as purchase ordering and GRN entering.
* Maintenance of purchase ledger master data to ensure vendor information is complete and accurate
* Supervision of purchase ledger team to ensure invoices paid on time and within agreed terms, whilst maximising cash flow wherever possible
* Minimise level of ad-hoc payments by improving processes
* Manage site expectations by training and educating site staff
* Develop and report against KPIs for invoice processing and site conformance with procedures
* To ensure that all purchase orders are set up in an accurate and timely manner * To act as a referral point for the business for query resolutions
* Liaise with creditors to eliminate any differences in statement balances
Skills and Experience Required
It is essential that you have a strong background within Purchase Ledger and Supervisory experience.
