An excellent opportunity has become available to work for a friendly firm of Solicitors, who are located in plush surrondings, in Nottingham City. They are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to support their Litigation Department.
Purpose of the Job
Assisting fee earners and providing the department with typing and secretarial support.
Key areas of responsibility
- Assist with digital and administrative support across the firm
- Deal with administrative routines as required to include computer printouts, incoming and outgoing cheques
- Transcribe and prepare all typing, word processing and copying requirements
- Assist in management and recording of time and in preparation of billing
- Work with relevant administrative systems and procedures, particulary in the management of cash, cheques, filing, bills, correspondence and documents
- Flexibility to be a member of team of Secretaries and to assist with work on a departmental level
- Operate case management system, whilst managing incoming and outgoing mail
- Dealing with incoming and outgoing telephone calls, emails and faxes
Essential skills
It is essential that you have worked as a Legal Secretary previously and have minimum typing speeds of 65 wpm and RSA II or equivalent. Excellent organisational skills are required, with the ability to work on your own iniative.
Company benefits
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 5.30pm, with an early finish on Friday and one hour for lunch. Salary is dependent upon experience and skills, circa £18,000 per annum.
