A fantastic opportunity to work for an established Solicitors, who are situated in the Nottingham City Centre and are seeking a Document Services Manager, due to expansion.
Key Responsibilities
To manage document services effectively, including management of a team of up to 20 individuals; ensuring that legal documents/records are produced, stored, scanned, distributed and archived in the most effective way.
You will have the drive and experience to take document management operations to the next level and your aim will be to work towards a paperless office.
Daily Responsbilities
* To manage resources effectively to ensure that departmental key performance indicators (KPI's) are met
* To implement and lead changes relating to document management
* To identify possible cost and space savings by introducing document management
* Working alongside the head of administration, to ensure document managment is in line with IT strategy
* To build and maintain relationships with key support departments including practice group managers, information technology, marketing and human resources
* Manage, motivate and enthuse the document services team, holding regular team meetings
* To oversee and forecast recruitment as neccessary, in conjunction with head of administration.
* To ensure appraisals, development and training are carried out at appropriate times for staff
* Dealing with performance issues, such as sickenss absence, disciplinary and grievance where neccessary
Skills and Experience Required
Experience of introducing a document management system (DMS), preferably within the professional services sector, although this is not essential. Working knowledge of all components of document management ie, scannnig, archiving, filing, print/copying, mail delivery. You will possess a management degree/diploma in Management Studies or equivalent.
