    Community Protection Officer

    Our client is looking for dedicated and enthusiastic people to join their neighbourhood services as a Community Protection Officer.

    You will be working closely with the Police and other services in a multi disciplinary service to make Nottingham a safer place to live.

    Responsibilities include:
    • To enforce using the powers for a range of civil and criminal matters as directed
    • To work within the standard operating procedures to fulfil the services objections in tracking anti social behaviour.
    • To conduct regular street patrols within designated areas of the city, aimed at tackling criminal activity, reporting incidents and disturbances to the Police.
    • To work closely with operational services on environmental issues that contribute to criminal activates e.g. abandoned cars, abandoned houses, graffiti.
    • To provide evidence against persons suspected of criminal breaches of law and bye laws, maintaining accurate records, assisting with the preparation pf prosecution files and giving evidence in court as necessary.
    • In liaison with the Police and Nottingham City Homes to offer basic crime prevention advice and support to residents.
    • To provide advice and information to residents on community safety and environmental issues.
    • To investigate reports relating to anti social behaviour from residents, visitors, businesses and other sources, recording findings and initiating action as necessary.
    • To develop effective working relationships with residents, retailers and businesses, area co-ordinators, councillors, other council departments.

    In return you will be offered a starting salary of £20,000 plus the opportunity to develop your career further within the public sector.

    This role will be subject to an assessment day, 6 weeks training and other mandatory checks.
