Full Description:
Account Manager

Purpose of Position: To provide support to the Head of Business Development in developing existing business relationships with a host of partners and to help generate new areas of potential business. To be very involved with the day-to-day administration of the companies extremely active UK retail distribution accounts. This will mean maintaining a close relationship with our retail distributors and overseeing a variety of in-store campaigns and monitoring the sales that arise from these activities.
Candidates will be expected to liaise with other companies within the UK, in order to secure our presence in retail outlets and explore other activities that will help to generate revenue for the company.

Scope of Position:

1. Being a primary point of contact for external partners
2. Being a reliable and efficient source of support for the Business Development department
3. Work with the Business Development team to proactively help seek new partners
4. Be responsible for the day-to-day administration of retail accounts
5. Meet and exceed the targets set for specific areas of responsibility
6. Support and enforce company policies, particularly the company’s Health and Safety Policy.

Education and Qualifications:
A-Level standard preferred with a firm grounding in English and Maths.

Skills and Qualities:
Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude are a must
• A perceptive and organised approach with the ability to prioritise
• Attention to detail
• Flexibility and adaptability
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications

Experience:
• Experience and an understanding of retail techniques and distribution would be beneficial
• Previous negotiation / business development experience would be a definite asset
• Experience in account handling and liaising with business partners
• Knowledge of distribution channels ideal but not essential
• Ideally experience in generating new sales / partners would be desirable but not essential
• Administration experience
