| This client is the world's leading operator in aviation ground services with responsive and experienced local teams in more than 140 locations around the world. There are 22,000 dedicated employees who look after the specific and diverse needs of our 700 customers and their 102 million passengers. Managing more than 1.4 million aircraft movements per year and processing a million tonnes of cargo, on average they handle an aircraft movement every 19 seconds around the globe. Due to expansion and seasonal demand, this consistently expanding ground handler is currently looking for Cargo Handlers/Baggage Handlers to join their team. Responsibilities will include the following: Loading and off loading baggage and freight from customer airlines aircraft. Driving company vehicles i.e. electrical baggage tugs and passenger coaches. Transferring passenger baggage onto the reclaim carousels. The handling of specialized ground equipment. Working along the aircraft and in high secure areas. You are required to work as part of a team for maximum impact. We will need to be physically fit and able and 100 per cent flexible and committed. Full training will be provided to ensure the success of the operation, along with Health and Safety, Manual Handing and Aviation Safety awareness. This is a seasonal role up to the end of Oct 08. This operation is 24/7 and you will need to be available any day of the week. Hours will include earlies, lates, night's days and weekends. It is essential you have the following to be able to apply: A valid UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 points. A valid passport with a least 6 months validity. A 5 year checkable history To be able to complete a Criminal Record Check Must not be colour blind. Salary - 6.50 p/h How to apply.
