Full Description:

A full time position has arisen in the Worksop are for an MRP Planner.
You will be responsible for the coordination and planning of all production control activities.
An attractive salary, annual bonus, contributary pension & 25 days holiday are available for the right candidate.
1Produce a quality product,
*Target is zero warranty claims
*Responsibility for maintaining quality throughout the manufacturing process at Worksop
*Zero scrap

2.Customer Service,
*Produce periodical reports as requested by the contract department
*Reply to the demands of the business within acceptable timescale
*Be easy to work with - we want future business
*Liaise with internal departments to support customer service on all levels

3.Delivery,
*Produce detailed manufacturing schedule at customer order date as required by contracts
*Take responsibility for the planning of the Shop floor Workload to meet customer and contractual commitments
*Work with the Operations Manager to develop, implement and manage Lean Processes through manufacture to reduce product lead times.
*Any slippage seek recovery program - not revised program
*Responsible for the effective and efficient management of inventory, through implementation of sound working Practices and procedures and maintenance of accurate stock records.
*Interface with Engineering / Design
*Avoid any liquidated damages.

4.Margin,
*Target cost reduction of 5% year on year and on a job-by-job basis against the sales estimate.
*Produce cost control schedule for all contracts
*Control production hours / works recoveries.

5.Manage the production control function to:
*Receive works orders from order entry through the SAP and associated systems.

*Ensure that direct costs are controlled within contract limits, whilst meeting customer requirements.

*Advise Engineering on the BOM issues or contract requirements.

*Obtain BOM's and customer requirements from engineering and contracts (where required) and load into shop floor and external processing requirements.

*Maintain the Production Control & Planning system in line with required delivery

*Expedite W.I.P. and sub-contract orders on a daily basis, via Shop floor, Inspection, Stores and Despatch

*Implement and maintain the routing requirements of all manufactured parts within the business at the Worksop facility.

*Liaise with despatch, contracts and shipping regarding deliveries

*Manage the MRP review of stock levels and re-order quantities to ensure the minimum value to meet delivery requirements and future growth

6.To ensure that all aspects of post order manufacturing procedures are efficiently controlled, planned and successfully completed in the required timescales, in order to satisfy customer and Company requirements.

7.To work within ISO 9001 Quality System and to observe Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations.

8.Embrace the SPX Leadership standards, and Operating Initiatives whilst maintaining high standards of discipline and productivity.

9.To perform all duties commensurate with the position as requested by the Operations Manager in the best interests of the Company.
