| A full time Contracts Engineer is required to work for a reputable Engineering firm in the Worksop area. Your main responsibility will be to take total responsibility from the order receipt to delivery of the engineering product range. An attractive salary, annual bonus, contributary pension scheme and 25 days holiday are available for the right candidate. 1Produce a quality product, *Target is zero warranty claims *Responsibility for all inspection activities during manufacture *Employing suppliers that can produce the quality and service that SPX demand. 2.Customer Service, *You provide the single point of contact to the customer *Produce periodical reports as requested by the customer *Reply to all customer needs within acceptable timescales *Be easy to work with - we want future business *Documentation - complete and on time *Liaise with customer's representatives, inspectors, expeditors etc. 3.Delivery, *Obtain / produce manufacturing schedule at customer order date *Monitor this schedule on a weekly basis *Any slippage seek recovery program - not revised program *Regular expediting of sub-suppliers. *Avoid any liquidated damages. 4.Margin, *Target margin increase of 5%-10% over the sales estimate through procurement activities. *Design changes + contract variations = margin enhancement. *Control contract management hours. *Produce margin control sheets on the large projects. 5.Work with Engineering for timely production and submittal of drawings / calculations to manufacturing / sub suppliers and client 6.To ensure that all aspects of post order contract procedures are efficiently controlled and successfully completed in the required timescales, in order to satisfy customer and Company requirements. 7.To work within ISO 9001 Quality System and to observe Health, Safety and Environmental Regulations. 8.Embrace the SPX Leadership standards, and Operating Initiatives whilst maintaining high standards of discipline and productivity. 9.To perform all duties commensurate with the position as requested by the Business Unit Manager in the best interests of the Company. |
