Job Description

A popular secondary school in the Derby area are looking for a creative and inspirational English Teacher to join the team to cover a maternity position after the half term. Are you a highly motivated, flexible and well qualified English Teacher who can bring drive, energy and enthusiasm to a busy and successful department? If so we want to hear from you! English Teacher - KS3 to KS4 The school are a popular secondary based on the outskirts of Derby and are looking for a motivated and dynamic teacher, with a passion for raising standards and attainment in English. This is a large oversubscribed and successful school serving the Derby area with just over 1000 students on roll from various ethnic backgrounds and cultures. The school is dedicated to the on-going training and support of its staff and are proud that exam results have increased year after year and this is due to excellent teaching practice and classroom management. You will help develop the English curriculum and enrich students' experience of English by planning and delivering lessons that are engaging, though provoking and aimed at developing students' appreciation of the subject. You will also take part in extended curriculum days and extra-curricular provision programmes. The successful candidate will join a dedicated department and have access to excellent support and resources. You will be extremely passionate about your subject and be capable of inspiring students and generating energy and enthusiasm in the classroom.
