Job Description

PK Education is currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors for a number of schools across Nottingham, from North Nottingham, Mansfield, Sutton in Ashfield, Kimberley, Selston to Arnold, West Bridgford, Gedling, Carlton, Clifton, Ruddington and surrounding areas. We wish to appoint Cover Supervisors who are available for temporary work and are looking to gain invaluable experience within Secondary Schools as a Cover Supervisor. You will be responsible for the supervision of classes, in the absence of a class teacher. There is an opportunity for a Long Term contract as a Cover Supervisor within one Nottingham School which will be available from around February/March time for an individual who has proved themselves to be an outstanding Cover Supervisor for PK Education, this contract could carry on through to June 2012 on a full time basis. As a Cover Supervisor you are required to have a minimum of 4 weeks previous experience within UK schools and for Cover Supervisor work previous experience of being a Cover Supervisor or being responsible for groups of young people would be ideal. You will be required to enable purposeful learning to take place within the classes you are responsible for. You will need a good standard of education and experience and be able to relate to young people, be well organized, and have an interest in how young people learn. This would be very valuable experience for individuals looking to apply for a PGCE/GTP in the future.
