Job Description
The role of the Bookkeeper involves providing a service to both the administration of the Scheme /Village and interest groups. You will need previous experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping, be flexible in the working environment and accurate with money handling, banking and bookkeeping.
The main duties will include:
€¢ Handling of money, receipting and banking.
€¢ Reconciliation of accounting systems for:
All interest groups: Bar, Café Bar, Shop, Activities
€¢ Check with interest groups that their accounts balance monthly and liaise with interest group staff facilitator.
€¢ Organise presentation of accounts to groups monthly and the Scheme / Village quarterly.
ۢ Calculation of quarterly income and deduction of 15% management fee from interest groups and Bar, Caf̩, Shop and any other activity groups.
€¢ Liaise with the Finance Team at Head Office and copy the accounts to ensure the deduction of 15% to other budget heads.
€¢ Reconciliation of meal income, to receipts, banking of income and maintaining accounting system to ensure target income is highlighted and informing all budget holders.
€¢ Banking of all income against receipt journal and copy of journal sent to Finance Team at Head Office every other day.
€¢ Issue of petty cash, maintaining petty cash accounts with receipts. Balance of petty cash weekly.
€¢ To ensure all expenditure is entered into each budget head accounting system.
€¢ To monitor expenditure against budget target and make Manager aware immediately of any overspend.
€¢ This post is subject to a satisfactory medical clearance, POVA and CRB checks and two written references.
20 Hours per week.
£9.17 per hour
