Business Development Manager/Key Account Manager Retail Sector

£45,000 - £55,000 Plus Commission
As one of the UK's fastest growing companies, our client is reputable for manufacturing, distributing and retailing a large range of garden and leisure products. They are an award-winning entrepreneurial business, employing over 100 staff. An opportunity has now arisen for a Business Development Manager/Key Account Manager to join their team.
This is the ideal role for a high calibre business development professional with the ability to hit the ground running, to continue to develop their career.
Taking responsibility for the trade side of the business, in this senior level role you will be tasked with selling the company's products to large retailers. Some travel to client sites will be required.
As the Business Development Manager/Key Account Manager your position will focus on building relationships with trade customers, focusing on generating new business. An element of the role will also involve managing existing key accounts as well as directing junior members of staff.
To be considered for this position you must have the following:
- Business development experience and a track record of managing accounts
- A track record of selling to the retail sector
As the Business Development Manager/Key Account Manager you should also be an exceptional communicator with commercial acumen, gravitas and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
Experience of selling garden/gardening products would be beneficial to your application.
