Job Knowledge:
*Previous experience gained running a very busy and large scale operation of 4 or 5 star Hotel.
Essential Job Skills:
*Excellent (inter)personal and presentation skills are required
*Great attention to detail required

*Displaying thorough business acumen in terms of departmental expenditure, GOP% against business performance

Level of Independence:
Thorough understanding of business and occupancy forecasts by ensuring sufficient staff coverage to successfully service and run a busy operation. Ability to build strong relationships with other departments to ensure a smooth and effective system is followed in terms of meeting and delivering the business needs. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a larger team. .

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION:
Under the general guidance of the Hotel Manager to direct and manage all operations and employees in Housekeeping so as to obtain the highest quality of cleanliness, and to provide efficient, prompt, courteous, trouble free and proactive service to customers; hence maximise guest satisfaction. All work will be in line with the hotel's guidelines and business plan, the departmental business plan, and the Hotels corporate guidelines and service concepts.
