Full Description:
Calling all Learning & Development/Training specialists! I am currently working with a fast paced, ever changing successful Services business in their search for a talented L&D/Training specialist.
This role will suit an L&D professional who is keen to develop themselves rapidly in their next role and who can bring with them creativity, charm and an outstanding ability to train people and help them learn.
Reporting directly into an L&D Manager and having responsibility for the Training of the business across the UK, you will ensure that the correct Training and Development is sourced and delivered at management level. It goes without saying that this will be carried out in a professional fashion whilst ensuring that all programmes are delivered on time, to deadlines and most importantly with 100% success. You will be keen to review the training programmes/delivery style with managers on an ongoing basis, highlighting areas for improvement/change.
As mentioned, your role in particular will focus on ensuring that Training/Learning is delivered successfully to the management tier who in turn will then be responsible for filtering across staff. It is therefore essential that you can communicate, influence and challenge these managers so as to get their 'buy in' and for them to understand the importance of Training both at their level and for their staff.
The business uses external training providers so you will not be expected to personally deliver all of the relevant training programmes - it is more about designing what training needs to be in place across the business, the most effective ways of delivering this and obviously the ongoing monitoring and reviewing. There will of course be regular liaison and reviews with these training providers.
It goes without saying; this is a pivotal role within the L&D/HR function so it is therefore essential that you have a proven background within Training/Learning & Development. You will have gained a commercial outlook/approach in your career to date and will thoroughly enjoy the interaction that Training brings. You will be an approachable person who can work on both a 1-2-1 basis with management as well as occasionally working with larger teams of people.
Although this role is head office based, there will be occasional need to travel across the UK to deliver and review Training programmes. This may be an odd day here or there or depending how far afield you are going, an overnight stay.
If you feel that this is the opportunity that you have been waiting for, please get in touch straight away.
Aside from a competitive salary, there is a company car, pension and company bonus (not guaranteed) on offer. It is a truly great opportunity to work with a reputable and recognised organisation
